Data show submax RAMP Test Nov'03 to Mar'03
Data are Polar HR from RAMP test @ 100, 150, 200, 220, 250w.
Test on Tacx Excel Basic with data stored on JBST SMART Diary (v.2003).



JBST SMART Approach:

1. Build base with HR controlled sessions.

2. Test aerobic fitness on a standardised test (Tacx Basic indoor trainer).

3. Reduce calorie intake slightly to reduce body fat (1.5kg).


JBST SMART Lessons:

1. Aerobic results from indoors are a good indicator of outdoor fitness.

2. Building a base correctly means you see improvements in fitness.

3. A Heart Rate Monitor and Indoor trainer are essential tools.
