Sodium Phosphate loading factsheet - 2004

It is based on a review of latest research and improves on most loading regimes shown on product labels.
This enhances the load-up regime by up to 50% compared to the previous load-up advised.

Sodium Phosphate products do not list our research proven update only the standard 4-day-regime.

Latest Research has shown Sodium Phosphate loading to have the following effects :

1. Up to 5-18% (3 to 10ml.kg) increase in VO2max.

2. Up to 17% increase in maximal cycling power.

3. Around 5 to 8% increase in average cycling power.


Here's what Paul O'Doherty's e-mail said (June '04):

"I done a Sodium Phosphate based on your previous protocol for Weymouth
Middle Distance a few weeks ago. To say I had a flyer is an understatement
- I think added to my training this was the icing on the cake and I felt
fantastic the whole race and just cruised through the bike!"

Here's what Eric Downey had to say in an e-mail (July '04):

I am chuffed to bits with my result at Bath - 3rd overall time 1:23 in bad rain -
4 minutes faster than last year (2003 was in perfect conditions!).

The Sodium Phosphate seems to be working as well- by removing some of the lactic burn
and allowing me to give that extra bit on the bike esp. up hill- my hr was considerably higher
than it is normally on the bike."
